Dr. Aspasia Oikonomou is a graduate of the Law Department of the Law School of the University of Athens, holds a Master in Educational Psychology from the University of Victoria University of Manchester and a PhD from the Department of Sociology at Panteion University. He has worked as a teacher of Primary Education (PE 13) and has served with secondment at the Pedagogical Institute, the KEE and the IEP. Her research interests are mainly in European educational policy, democracy and human rights. She has published in scientific journals and has made significant contributions to conferences and scientific conferences. She has participated as a coordinator, as a responsible judge but also as a member of project teams in the elaboration of Curricula, educational materials and textbooks while she has extensive experience in adult education. Today she serves in the IEP as a Consultant and is the Coordinator of the Social Sciences Unit.
